 oetry 4 Ya Mind! is a unique collection of poetry and artwork submitted to Getting Ready magazine by its readers. The GR readership consists of youth in foster care, Job Corps, and the juvenile justice system. Since its inception over 12 years ago, GR has built a reputation based on providing at-risk youth a forum for understanding the importance of learning independent life skills. Poetry 4 Ya Mind! has been a feature page in GR that has attracted the unsolicited thoughts and feelings of these youth in the form of poetry and artwork. Now, they want to see and share their feelings and dreams in print.
